From Jaffa Gate to Jewish Quarter and Western Wall, the Temple Mount and Church of the Holy Sepulcher, we will delve into the complicated and nuanced relationships among all of the people that live in this unique city.

Geopolitics, Maps and More! What is the crux of the modern conflict between Palestinians and Israelis? Beginning before the formation of the modern state of Israel with the early beginning of the Zionist movement, we will look at the changing issues and challenges and the events that have shaped Israel until today.

What are the major milestones of Israel's culture and history and how have we commemorated them through poetry and song. From Yehuda Amichai and Naomi Shemer to Netta Barzilai; the contrast and comparison from eastern "Mizrahi" music to "western music" and the modern influences that have marked our most significant moments. 

The Timeline of Israel

Going from the Biblical era and until today, this will delve into the timeline of the major events that have shaped our history. This two-part lecture will cover the Biblical period through the Second Temple Period in the first session and from the Destruction of the Temple through the early Zionist period and the formation of the state in the second session.

EASTERN EUROPEAN JEWISH CITIES: Prague, Krakow, Warsaw. These three cities became home to a vibrant Jewish community starting in the 10th century. As Jewish life and connection grew in these beautiful cities, the bond was strengthened - until the tragedy of the Holocaust changed our history forever. THE MOUNT OF OLIVES & THE VIA DOLOROSA

Join me for a virtual walk from the top of the Mount of Olives.
